Friends: Please take the time to watch this movie about the Book in the
Holy Bible: John
I endorse it 100% as being a true depiction of the Birth, Life, Death and Resurrection
of The Son of GOD: Jesus Christ
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
2 Peter 1:4
When a person is saved, they are always saved. However, some people distort this truth. They get the idea that if it’s true, they’ll sin all they want to.
Friend, I’ll let you in on a secret: I sin all I want to. The thing is,
I don’t want to!
You see, if you have really surrendered yourself to God and asked Him to save you, Peter tells us you’ve become “partakers of the divine nature.” If the only thing that keeps you from sinning is fear of losing your salvation, I wonder if you’ve ever been saved in the first place.
Does becoming “partakers of the divine nature” mean that you don’t sin any more? No. Before I was saved, I was running to sin. Now, I’m running from it. I may slip, but because I’m saved, I have a desire to live pure and clean to the glory of God.
What about you? Do you have a desire to be holy? Or do you treat the doctrine of “once saved, always saved” as a license to live a sinful life? If it’s the latter, you’re in trouble.
Do you want to live as long as GOD lives (Eternity – NO END!)
Just Believe that GOD sent His Only Begotten Son to this earth
to shed His Blood and Die on the Cross at Calvary for your sins
and for the sins of the entire human race;
Was buried in a borrowed tomb, arose from the dead on the 3rd Day
(Easter), Was seen by over 500 people after His Resurrection and
ascended back into Heaven to sit at the Right-Hand of
His Father, God, as our
High Priest, Advocate, Lord and Savior;
If you truly believe that to be true, and believe me and the Holy Bible:
IT IS TRUE! And you can say this Prayer to God, the Father:
“Lord, I confess that I have sinned against You, I Repent of my sins and
by Faith, accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and give Him
total control of my Life, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Saying that Prayer, you have been Born Again, Spiritually, and have

Reward for the Righteous
“So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily He is a God that judgeth in the earth” (Psalm 58:11).
God’s judgments in this life are not always clearly to be seen, for in many cases one event happeneth alike to all. This is the state of probation, not of punishment or reward. Yet at times God works terrible things in righteousness, and even the careless are compelled to own His hand. Even in this life righteousness has that kind of reward which it prefers above all others, namely, the smile of God, which creates a quiet conscience. Sometimes other recompenses follow, for God will be in no man’s debt. But, at the same time, the chief reward of the righteous lies in the hereafter. Meanwhile, on a large scale, we mark the presence of the great Ruler among the nations. He breaks in pieces oppressive thrones and punishes guilty peoples. No one can study the history of the rise and fall of empires without perceiving that there is a power which makes for righteousness and, in the end, brings iniquity before its bar and condemns it with unsparing justice. Sin shall not go unpunished, and goodness shall not remain unrewarded. The Judge of all the earth must do right. Therefore, let us fear before Him and no more dread the power of the wicked.
As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing (2 Corinthians 6:10).
Sorrow was beautiful, but her beauty was the beauty of the moonlight shining through the leafy branches of the trees in the wood, and making little pools of silver here and there on the soft green moss below. When Sorrow sang, her notes were like the low sweet call of the nightingale, and in her eyes was the unexpectant gaze of one who has ceased to look for coming gladness. She could weep in tender sympathy with those who weep, but to rejoice with those who rejoice was unknown to her.
Joy was beautiful, too, but his was the radiant beauty of the summer morning. His eyes still held the glad laughter of childhood, and his hair had the glint of the sunshine’s kiss. When Joy sang his voice soared upward as the lark’s, and his step was the step of a conqueror who has never known defeat. He could rejoice with all who rejoice, but to weep with those who weep was unknown to him.
“But we can never be united,” said Sorrow wistfully. “No, never.” And Joy’s eyes shadowed as he spoke. “My path lies through the sunlit meadows, the sweetest roses bloom for my gathering, and the blackbirds and thrushes await my coming to pour forth their most joyous lays.”
“My path,” said Sorrow, turning slowly away, “leads through the darkening woods, with moon-flowers only shall my hands be filled. Yet the sweetest of all earth-songs–the love song of the night–shall be mine; farewell, Joy, farewell.”
Even as she spoke they became conscious of a form standing beside them; dimly seen, but of a Kingly Presence, and a great and holy awe stole over them as they sank on their knees before Him.
“I see Him as the King of Joy,” whispered Sorrow, “for on His Head are many crowns, and the nailprints in His hands and feet are the scars of a great victory. Before Him all my sorrow is melting away into deathless love and gladness, and I give myself to Him forever.”
“Nay, Sorrow,” said Joy softly, “but I see Him as the King of Sorrow, and the crown on His head is a crown of thorns, and the nailprints in His hands and feet are the scars of a great agony. I, too, give myself to Him forever, for sorrow with Him must be sweeter than any joy that I have known.”
“Then we are one in Him,” they cried in gladness, “for none but He could unite Joy and Sorrow.” Hand in hand they passed out into the world to follow Him through storm and sunshine, in the bleakness of winter cold and the warmth of summer gladness, “as sorrowful yet always rejoicing.”
Should Sorrow lay her hand upon thy shoulder,
And walk with thee in silence on life’s way,
While Joy, thy bright companion once, grown colder,
Becomes to thee more distant day by day?
Shrink not from the companionship of Sorrow,
She is the messenger of God to thee;
And thou wilt thank Him in His great tomorrow
For what thou knowest not now, thou then shalt see;
She is God’s angel, clad in weeds of night,
With ‘whom we walk by faith and not by sight.’
I wanted to be sure that you knew:
That GOD Loves you,
That He truly wants you to be in Heaven with Him,
BUT, there’s a Problem:
Since Adam & Eve sinned against GOD over 6,000 years ago
The entire Human Race has been infected with a DISEASE!
And there is only ONE CURE:
The disease is SIN (Disobedience to GOD)
The Only Cure is Jesus Christ.
John 3:16 makes it very clear. These 25-words, that Jesus spoke to Nicodemus,
and to us:
FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON,
THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHALL NOT PERISH BUT
HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE!
If you believe that verse, on Faith, that GOD sent His Only Begotten Son,
Jesus Christ, to this earth over 2,000 years ago, to shed His Blood and Die
on that Cross at Calvary in payment for ALL of your sins AND for all of the
sins of the entire human race, was buried in a borrowed tomb, rose from
the dead on the 3rd Day we now call Easter, was seen by at least 500 people
after His Resurrection and ascended back into Heaven to sit on His Throne at GOD’s
Right-Hand-Side and you can lift up this Prayer to our
Sovereign GOD in Heaven:
“Lord, I confess that I am a sinner. By Faith, I accept Jesus Christ as my
Personal Lord and Savior, I repent of my sins and give Christ total control of my life,
in Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
If you can say that Prayer, right now as you sit in front of your computer screen,
GOD will accept that Special Prayer, there will be Rejoicing in Heaven
and you will be Spiritually Born Again. Your name will be written in
the Lamb’s Book of Life as a Christian and you will, from that moment
until you die, and forever afterwards, have Eternal Life with GOD
the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit in Heaven.
Right now, you really have a choice, to accept Christ as your Personal Savior
or Reject Him.
If you reject Him and you die tonight or anytime in the future before
accepting Him, you will come under a very important verse in the
Last Book in the Holy Bible, the Inspired, Inerrant, Infallible Word
of GOD. That verse is Revelation 20:15:
Revelation 20:15 New International Version (NIV)
15 Anyone whose name was not found written in the
Lamb’s Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.
This will occur at the Great White Throne of Judgment described in:
Revelation 20 New International Version (NIV)
The Judgment of the Dead
11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.15 Anyone whose name was not found written in the Lamb’s Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.
Friend: Again I say: The Father, Son and Holy Spirit love you and WANT you to be in Heaven
with them but you MUST Cure yourself of the Disease of sin, and Jesus is the ONLY WAY.
All I can do is tell you. You must open your heart to the Holy Spirit and, by Faith, accept Jesus Christ as your Personal Savior. You have been told: The decision is yours: Accept Him or Reject Him.
Lord, I lift up the person reading this statement that You have placed upon my heart to write.
PLEASE open this Precious Person’s Heart, whom I know that You Love, to Your Holy Spirit
so they will, by Faith, accept your Precious Son, Jesus, as their Personal Savior,
in Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
Please feel free to copy and send this message on to any and all of your contacts.
As a Christian, He commanded us to tell the entire World about Him:
Matthew 28:19-20 New International Version (NIV)
The Great Commission
19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
If anyone is Ashamed of Me on earth, I shall be ashamed of him in Heaven.)
GODLINESS EXALTS A NATION, BUT SIN
IS A REPROACH TO ANY PEOPLE!

1 Thessalonians 5:6
Let us not sleep, as do others.
There are many ways of promoting Christian wakefulness. Among the rest, let me strongly advise Christians to converse together concerning the ways of the Lord. Christian and Hopeful, as they journeyed towards the Celestial City, said to themselves, “To prevent drowsiness in this place, let us fall into good discourse.” Christian enquired, “Brother, where shall we begin?” And Hopeful answered, “Where God began with us.” Then Christian sang this song-
“When saints do sleepy grow, let them come hither,
And hear how these two pilgrims talk together;
Yea, let them learn of them, in any wise,
Thus to keep open their drowsy slumb’ring eyes.
Saints’ fellowship, if it be managed well,
Keeps them awake, and that in spite of hell.”
Christians who isolate themselves and walk alone, are very liable to grow drowsy. Hold Christian company, and you will be kept wakeful by it, and refreshed and encouraged to make quicker progress in the road to heaven. But as you thus take “sweet counsel” with others in the ways of God, take care that the theme of your converse is the Lord Jesus. Let the eye of faith be constantly looking unto Him; let your heart be full of Him; let your lips speak of His worth. Friend, live near to the cross, and thou wilt not sleep. Labour to impress thyself with a deep sense of the value of the place to which thou art going. If thou rememberest that thou art going to heaven, thou wilt not sleep on the road. If thou thinkest that hell is behind thee, and the devil pursuing thee, thou wilt not loiter. Would the manslayer sleep with the avenger of blood behind him, and the city of refuge before him? Christian, wilt thou sleep whilst the pearly gates are open-the songs of angels waiting for thee to join them-a crown of gold ready for thy brow? Ah! no; in holy fellowship continue to watch and pray that ye enter not into temptation.

Why I Believe in the Return of Christ
God continues to bless Sagemont Church. In the last two Sundays, over 100 people have made public decisions to make Jesus Christ Lord of their life. Pastors Chuck Schneider, Stuart Rothberg, and Jim Hastings have been teaching the scriptures as both the Old and New Testaments prophesy and proclaim that Jesus Christ is coming back to this earth again to claim and receive His children unto Himself. During the worship services, I am preaching the message and promise of the return of Christ.
One may ask, “Pastor, why do you passionately believe that Jesus is literally going to return to the earth?” These are a few reasons:
Why I Believe in the Return of Christ
- Jesus said He would! John 14:3 “I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”
- The entire Christian view of history demands it.
- The prophetic signs found in scripture are now clearly being fulfilled.
- Earthquakes all over the globe. Matthew 24:7 – (over 20,000 since 1971)
- Hearts will fail for fear. Luke 21:26 – Suicides are epidemic.
- Great explosions of learning. II Timothy 3:7 – People cannot discern the truth.
- Immorality abounds. Luke 17:26-27 – Like the days of Noah.
Scripture clearly teaches that Jesus will come to save His children and judge the rest.
God and Churchill
I have just completed reading one of the best books that I have read in the last twenty years. God and Churchill, written by one of our newest Sagemont members Jonathan Sandys (pronounced “sands”), great-grandson of Sir Winston Churchill. Wallace Henley, staff member at Second Baptist Church, Houston, assisted Jonathan in this profound book. The purpose of the book is to make clear “how the great leader’s sense of divine destiny changed his troubled world and offers help for ours.” Tyndale Momentum is the publisher. The book has many profound quotes. However, there is one that has impacted my life more than many others. Prime Minister of Great Britain, Margaret Thatcher, addressing the Church of Scotland General Assembly in 1988, said “I think back to many discussions in my early life when we all agreed that if you try to take the fruits of Christianity without its roots, the fruits will wither. And they will not come back unless you nurture the roots.”
One of the responsibilities of the Bride of Christ, the Church, is to keep Christianity on track and prevent the derailing of His ultimate purpose. The paganism that is engulfing us today will ultimately destroy us unless we return to the roots of our faith. “Our faith is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.” It is on the solid rock we must stand for truly all other ground is sinking sand.
Note: The book God and Churchill is available in the Sagemont Bookstore.
