Sowing Seeds (Blog)

Before a crop can be harvested, seeds have to be sown. There has to be a sowing before a reaping – no exceptions! Scripture teaches that what we sow, we reap (Galatians 6:7). Proverbs 22:8 “He that sows iniquity shall reap vanity.” However, Proverbs 11:18 “. . . but to him that sows righteousness shall be a sure reward.”Each of us has the freedom to make a lot of choices. We cannot always choose what comes our way but we can choose what we will do with what we receive. Isaiah 55:11 says the seed of His word will not return void. God will determine the yield but our assignment is to sow. Here are some suggestions as to what we might sow:
Love
Patience
Forgiveness
Kindness
Sympathy
Finances
Prayer
Encouragement
The best thing we can sow is the seed of the teaching of God’s Word. Tell someone today how much God says He loves them in His written Word. Water the seed with prayer often and wait for the harvest.
